dena zine

january 2025 release

my second zine, “dena zine,” is about the denas: altadena and pasadena. my beloved hometowns, and my thoughts in the wake of the eaton fire. this is partially zine and partially photobook, it showcases film pictures throughout my life as i was born and raised in the area. on january 7, 2025, the eaton fire erupted and ravaged through the area, burning over 14,000 acres and ripping through houses and local businesses.

in the wake of all the destruction as my sister and i were volunteering, we wanted to find another way to donate. my sister kate recommended that i make a zine of my film photographs of altadena and pasadena to raise funds as a donation for altadena girls, a fire relief fund run by teenage girls for teenage girls in the altadena & pasadena area.

i ran a preorder for the zine and received over 100 copies. all proceeds from this zine have been donated to the altadena girls fire recovery, the donated total was $1310.

this zine is made on adobe illustrator with all my own images.

this zine is 48 pages, and was printed and bound professionally in january 2025. it’s digest size (5.5”x8.5”).
